Dr Brenda Talbot qualified as a teacher after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree (English & Psychology) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. After teaching English both in mainstream and remedial systems, and working as a School Counsellor, she continued her studies to obtain a Bachelor of Education (Educational Psychology), and Masters in Education (Educational Psychology) which she achieved Cum Laude.

Following her registration as an Educational Psychologist, she worked in Special Needs Education for 8 years before entering private practice which she has pursued for over 30 years. Dr Talbot graduated in December 2012 with a PhD (Child Psychology) from the University of Free State, Bloemfontein, South Africa. Her thesis was entitled ” The prediction of psychological well-being in children and adolescents with life threatening, long-term illnesses”. 

Dr Talbot specialises in work with children and adolescents, and their families.
